A 70-year-old woman presented to the ED with constipation and abdominal distension.
She used a wheelchair due to spinal stenosis and was on chronic opioids.
The ED physician (Dr. C) obtained an abdominal x-ray to rule out obstruction.
It showed a large stool burden but no air-fluid levels or free air.
