Neck Abscess Misdiagnosis [PA and MD]

Case # 122

A 38-year-old man presented to an urgent care with a sore throat.

He was seen by a PA.

He was otherwise healthy and the only exam finding was slight oropharynx redness.

A strep test was negative.

A Z-pak was prescribed and he was discharged.
