Oncologist Fails to Follow-Up on Lung Nodule

A patient was treated for colon cancer in 2014.

There was no evidence of disease after he completed treatment.

As a part of his routine follow-up, his oncologist ordered a CT scan the following year (2015).

Several small nodules were seen in his right lung.
