A woman in her 30s presented to the ED with shortness of breath and hypoxia. She had antiphospholipid syndrome, prior DVTs and Raynaud’s disease. Her med list included warfarin. PE and DVT workup in the ED was negative. She was admitted to the hospital.
Thanks for reading! Not really sure there's truly a way to value their fingers although they will try to do so by quantifying loss of earnings. This always comes up when people die... how much is a life worth? No amount of money can really ever be weighed against a life but we have to come up with a number somehow.
