How did the patient keep getting mesalamine for 5 years without an appointment? Was he just getting automatic refills or was the PCP just sending in new prescriptions? If that were the case I can see this being ruled in favor of the plaintiff.
I just double-checked and still not any action. The court scheduled a trial for March 2025 but they usually push it back repeatedly. Even for med mal cases this one is going extremely slowly.

Excellent question, without any clear explanation from the legal documents. One of them was clearly refilling it periodically.
